Firefox Personas

Your browsers will look like this:

Here’s the steps to adding these personas to your browsers for those who aren’t really sure.

FOR FIREFOX 3.0 USERS:

1. Go to Tools > Add-Ons
2. Click on he Tab “Get Add-Ons”
3. Search for Personas in the search bar
FOR PEOPLE USING FIREFOX 3.6 AND ABOVE, SEARCH “FIREFOX PERSONA PLUS” INSTEAD.
4. After installing, restart your FIREFOX
5. Click on the little fox icon at the bottom left corner of your browser
6. Go to Preferences
7. Check the ‘Show Custom Persona’ in the menu then close the box
8. Click the little fox again
9. Go to Custom > Edit
10. Upload your favored personas! (Both Headers and Footers)

**These custom themes won’t work if you are already applying another theme.

ADDITIONAL STEPS FOR USERS OF FIREFOX 3.6

(kudos to a van_3!)

Method 1:
1. Download “LightweightThemeManager.jsm” at  http://www.mediafire.com/?u2odmhhvnzk
2. Copy the file.
3. Go to Computer > Local Disk C:\ > Program Files > Mozilla Firefox > Modules
4. Paste the file. (Select the option Copy and Replace)
5. RESTART FIREFOX

Method 2:
1. Download Mozilla Firefox 3.0 installer
2. Unzip the file (perhaps with 7zip or any other softwares for unzipping
3. Open the unzipped folder and copy the file named “LightweightThemeManager.jsm”
4. Go to Computer > Local Disk C:\ > Program Files > Mozilla Firefox > Modules
5. Paste the file. (Select the option Copy and Replace)
6. RESTART FIREFOX

QUICK TIP: Copy and paste the “LightweightThemeManager.jsm” in your hard disk or somewhere else in your computer for future use should you need to.

*Additional Note:

People have been asking us to upload the personas onto getpersonas.com cause its more convenient for you guys. BUT if we use that site to upload our personas, the designs will have to be simpler because its a one size fits all dimension that is required for all personas uploaded there. Which means the design will only be on the right hand side of the browser while the left hand side has to be plain. And we won’t upload our old designs because the dimension that the website requires is totally different.  Plus actually, uploaders need to have authorization to upload personas with designs of celebrities on site due to copyright issues. Yeah thats why we’re reluctant to upload it there.
